The guesthouse is only 5 minutes from the Hermanus town centre, renowned for the best shore-based whale watching experience anywhere on the globe. It is close to the award-winning Arabella Golf Resort and popular Hermanus golf course, and there are 7 wineries in the area. The guest lounge has uninterrupted sea vistas, Internet access and a fireplace. Spectacular sunsets and magnificent views of breaking waves and surrounding mountains can also be viewed from the spacious terrace.
Any season is a great time to visit Hermanus, and depending on which you prefer, can be enjoyed as... a peaceful retreat during the winter months or a bustling coastal resort town during the summer months. The climate is Mediterranean with most of the rainfall in winter and long sunny days in summer. Information and assistance with bookings, as well as activity planning are offered by our staff.
Health & beauty shops are situated 5 minutes from the guesthouse while on site wellness therapies can also be arranged. Sandbaai beach is situated directly in front of the guesthouse while the popular Onrus beach and lagoon is a mere 5 minutes' walk along the beach pathway. Enjoy mountain hikes and bird watching in Fernkloof and Harold Porter Nature Reserves Hiking Trails or horse riding on the beach. Fishing can also be enjoyed from rocks in front of the guesthouse. The local hospital is situated less than 5 minutes away.
A scrumptious English breakfast is served, either adjacent to the open-plan kitchen or on the mountain terrace, weather permitting. The extensive menu changes daily. There are several superb restaurants to cater for every taste within a radius of 5 kilometers. On request, a picnic can be provided to enjoy on the beach in front of the guest house. On-site wellness therapies can be arranged on request. There is a local hospital situated less than 5 minutes away.
